Suzanne Wingfield

A vintage cockadeSuzanne Wingfield retired from her career in Veterinary Medicine at CSU and never looked back. Her love for ribbons began ten years ago, when she participated in a week long ribbonwork workshop held in Jackson, Wyoming. The classes were taught by Candace Kling, author of The Artful Ribbon. Candace's passion for this beautiful art form soon became Suzanne's passion.

Suzanne will present a tutorial on making cockades, a rosette-style embellishment that dates back to the 1600's to add décor to a hat for a man or a woman. Cockades have been worn throughout history in the military and Suzanne will demonstrate how to make the folds that turn ribbons into lovely millinery embellishments.
