Ballet Folklorico

Once again, the popular dance troupe will be a part of the 2013 DHC.  Sponsored by the Durango Educational Alliance for Multicultural Achievement "Del Alma," Ballet Folklorico de Durango brings the tradition of Mexican folkloric dance to life. Ballet Folklorico de Durango is a year-round program that not only teaches specific skills, customs and beliefs of folkloric dance, but also is designed to help students develop self-confidence, poise, cultivate teamwork and just have a good time.

The troupe rehearses weekly and performs approximately twenty times per year at schools, parades, cultural celebrations and community events. All students age 6-18 are welcome.
