The Durango Heritage Train  Purchase Tickets Now!

Don’t miss this once-a-year opportunity to experience an 1880’s steam train ride into the Old West. Authentic, historic rail cars full of stylishly dressed Victorians, cowboys and cowgirls make their way north from Durango into untamed territories ruled by robbers and bandits. Famous, as well as infamous, old west characters are known to travel this route. Bring your sense of adventure and get ready for a fun journey into the past.  For the first time, the Heritage Train will use the newly-constructed turn-around in the north Animas Valley for its return to Durango.  (Victorian or Old West costume is required for this event).

As usual, we have to be on the lookout for robbers when we ride the Heritage Train. Experience has shown that they're getting more aggressive every year! Silver and "gold" coins can again be purchased prior to departure as insurance for a safe journey. If you should find it necessary to pay for your safety with your silver or gold coins, you can know your investment goes for more than your own well being.
